“I’m Different”, a song of YG Entertainment (“YG”)’s new unit HI SUHYUN, has dominated Gaon chart.
According to Gaon chart on the 20 this month, HI SUHYUN’s debut single “I’m Different” took the No.1 on Gaon’s digital, download, and BGM chart of the week from the 9th to 15th of this month.
“I’m Different” swept real-time charts upon its release on the 11 at 0am, then dominated weekly charts of total eight music-streaming websites: Korea’s biggest Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh, Genie, Soribada, Daum Music, and NAVER Music. Now the song has swept Gaon chart, too, to prove its high-rising popularity.
Plus, HI SUHYUN’s music video that was released on the 18 has also created sensation, with a cute and bubbly expression of a love triangle. LEE HI, LEE SU HYUN, BOBBY, as well as KIM JI SOO, a member of YG’s new girl group, caught the eyes by showing fresh and pure acting, and the unexpected twist of the video also drew a big attention.
The music video of “I’m Different” has surpassed 1.5 million views on YouTube as of the 20 at 11am, recording total 1,512,407 views on the website.
“I’m Different” is an R&B/SOUL song in which LEE HI’s soulful voice and AKMU LEE SU HYUN’s clear ringing voice create harmony. The song expresses the two vocalists’ voice more richly based on simple instrumental composition, and BOBBY’s featuring with witty rapping is adding to the interesting appeal of the song.
Meanwhile, HI SUHYUN appears in Mnet’s “M-Countdown” on the 20, to perform with BOBBY.
